Guess I'm doing ok now some days I don't even cry at all
Think I'm really gettin better but the summers slowly fading into fall
That means shorter days and longer nights ahead and that's not good for me
Guess I'll take it one day at a time
And pray each night her memory lets me be

I can make it through the day sometimes
Especially when the boss man's pushing me
And sometimes even nights go by alright with some help from of ole Jim Beam
But other times it's all that I can do to keep from goin down in flames
I'm doin fine no thoughts of crying then the wind starts whispering her name

I can't tell if it's callin her or just reminding me of what I've lost
Either way it's taunting me and I can't count the days that I have lost
I can't keep my self together long enough to do much of anything
That damn winds to blame and it's a shame the way I go to pieces

Not sure why it hurts me so to hear it I'm the one who let her go
Truth be told her love was more than I deserved so blow you damn wind blow
I can take the dark nights and the cold and Im alright even when it rains
