I went to this abandoned barn
near my uncles' house
It was middle of September
Late in the evening
Inside the barn I saw a group
Of fifteen people
Dancing to this loud music
Immediately I saw there was
Something different
Going on in there
The dancing seemed
Quite wild to begin with
First I thought it was
Just a drunken party
But when I observed more closely
I understood it was something
Much more bizarre
For it seemed like
The music somehow
Controlled the dancers' movements
As if their minds had been taken over
Their frantic movements
Were impelled by the rhythm
Violent convulsions and
Involuntary jolts possessed their bodies
They rampaged around the barn
Staggering and falling all over the place
Dashing against each other
Hitting the walls
Knocking their heads
Wincing and whacking
With their uncontrollable limbs
Seemingly unable to stop the madness
Brains are taken over
By the evil dub
The music animates
The helpless bodies
Painful cramps and jolts
Tear the limbs and the torsos
Air escapes the lungs
With a silent scream
The dancers were totally overpowered
They didn't seem to have any sense of
The world around them
Except of that horrible music that was controlling them
Everyone had this strange ecstatic
Look upon their faces
As if they were enjoying themselves
This devastating dance
Went on and on
It was painful to watch
At the time I didn't know
What it all was
I had never seen anything like that
But of course
This horrendous phenomenon
was already spreading
The cassettes were being copied
And distributed
It became the epidemic
That was to be known as
The Wrecking Ball Dance
Brains are taken over
By the evil dub
The music animates
The helpless bodies
Painful cramps and jolts
Tear the limbs and the torsos
Air escapes the lungs
