My Imaginary friends are perfect
They don't love me for the person you see on the surface
Never judge me by my job or the way I dress
Always hug me when I'm lost or I say I'm stressed
My imaginary friends are perfect
Holding me down... they know I'm worth it
When I'm not around they're never throwing shade
And they gon' lift me up when it's my lowest day
My imaginary friends are perfect
(Hey Buddy)
My imaginary friends
(Hey Buddy)
My imaginary friends are perfect

Mmm, (hello) it's gonna be alright, (my imaginary friends) it's gonna be ok x2

Lost in my head I'm dreaming a lot
Thinking what if I was dead
Why is life a threat
It's making me upset, I can't get rid of them thoughts
So I'm struggling with sleep
Nobody told me growing up these days would ever cut this deep (argh)
...I think I'm suffering from post-traumatic stress
Cleaning out my auntie's closet had me choking at the mess
Now I'm questioning my own sanity everyday I'm tripping
I'm thinking she's schizophrenic, maybe im no different
But I'm like chance, I don't wanna have a label
I don't want my friends to judge me and tell people I'm not stable
I'd rather hide all my feelings than see everyone react
They don't need to hear the truth dog I'll keep that under raps
The show is on
Lying on a psych test, I know it's wrong
Put a smile on my face for my lowest song
(Are you ready?)
For my lowest song
(You can do it)

(Hey Buddy)
Mmm, it's gonna be alright, it's gonna be ok x2

(Clear throat)
My Imaginary friends are perfect
They don't love me for the person you see on the surface
Never judge me by my job or the way I dress
Always hug me when I'm lost or I say I'm stressed (I believe you)
My imaginary friends are perfect (hello)
Holding me down... they know I'm worth it
When I'm not around they never throwing shade
And they gon' lift me up when it's my lowest day
My imaginary friends are perfect
(Hey Buddy) (hello)
My imaginary friends
(Hey Buddy)
My imaginary friends are perfect
(Hello) (hey buddy)
My imaginary friends
(Goodbye)
