The Clocks

The Clocks is a work of detective fiction by British writer Agatha Christie, first published in the UK by the Collins Crime Club on 7 November 1963 and in the US by Dodd, Mead and Company the following year. It features the Belgian detective Hercule Poirot. The UK edition retailed at sixteen shillings (16/-) and the US edition at $4.50.In the novel Poirot never visits any of the crime scenes or speaks to any of the witnesses or suspects. He is challenged to prove his claim that a crime can be solved by the exercise of the intellect alone. Over and over, I go
Over the thoughts I have that aren't very nice at all
Where you spin around me and you go
You look a lot to me like someone I used to know

Too many pictures in the mind
I reckon thats my problem, half the time
Too many pictures in the mind
And now

They hold tight to my side, all through the night
But the moonlight cant hide, the tear in my eye
Coz, sometimes the sunshines and when you're here, so do I
The hands of time can't replace your hand in mine

Over and over, I go
Over the thoughts I have that live in my very soul
Where you spin around me and you go
You look a lot to me like someone I used to know

Too many thoughts to hide away
I reckon thats my problem, day to day
Too many bruises on my brain
And now

They hold tight to my side, all through the night
But the moonlight cant hide, the tear in my eye
Coz, sometimes the sunshines and when you're here, so do I
The hands of time can't replace your hand in mine

Over and over, I will go
Over the thoughts I have that aren't very nice at all
Where you spin around me and you go
You look a lot to me like someone I used to know

I wonder if you miss the time
When I used to sit you right here by my side
And how I used to look into your eye
And now

They hold tight to my side, all through the night
But the moonlight cant hide, the tear in my eye
Coz, sometimes the sunshines and when you're here, so do I
The hands of time can't replace your hand in
The hands of time can't replace your hand in
The hands of time can't replace your hand in mine
