Bramble

Rubus is a large and diverse genus of flowering plants in the rose family, Rosaceae, subfamily Rosoideae, with over 1,350 species, commonly known as brambles.Raspberries, blackberries, and dewberries are common, widely distributed members of the genus, and bristleberries are endemic to North America. Most of these plants have woody stems with prickles like roses; spines, bristles, and gland-tipped hairs are also common in the genus. The Rubus fruit, sometimes called a bramble fruit, is an aggregate of drupelets. Going down Anglia
To begin
If you close your eyes enough you can believe you're whole again
Going down Anglia
To salvation
And you wash your hands in the North Sea and you're halfway to Sweden
Going down Anglia
To love
Where you cried in bed when the first girl broke your heart
Your mum came in, said are you okay
You said "Mum am I destined to throw all my love away?"
She said "the more you love the more you'll grieve"
But it tastes the same as it rolls down your cheek
There's a time to be born and a time to die
And you're not sure which you're doing as it passes by
Going down Anglia
To regret
To a thousand things you didn't but you know you should have said
You're in the bookshop
You friend's got a baby
And a wife as well
And that's the set now maybe
You say "Man it's good to see you that's incredible"
Then you turn around and smile in millennial
Some things are the way they're meant to be
But you can't help feeling something salty on your cheek
There's a time to be born and a time to die
And you're not sure which you're doing as it passes by
Going down Anglia
To believe
You once found God sitting on some machinery
You were happy cycling through the breeze
You said "fancy seeing you here so far from the sanctuary"
But He came and went with the wind
And you've been trying to find Him again ever since
Going to Anglia
To begin
Where the ocean meets the sky
And you're feeling everything
Going down Anglia
To home
Been halfway 'round the world but now you're back here don't you know
Everybody knows your name
But the melancholy knows you just the same
Man, what is that and what is this
And you open out your hand to all of it
