Alice in Chains (occasionally informally referred to as The Dog Album, The Dog Record, and Tripod) is the third studio album by the American rock band Alice in Chains. It was released on November 7, 1995 through Columbia Records, and was the follow-up to the highly successful Dirt (1992). This is the band's first full-length studio album to feature bassist Mike Inez; their last album to feature original lead vocalist Layne Staley, who died in 2002; and their last album to be released on Columbia Records. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart with first week sales of 189,000 copies, and stayed on the chart for 46 weeks. Turning you into mine
Don't waste your time
It's cool I'm fine
Go live your life
Never one to fold
In for the gold
Just don't think twice
It's do or die
It's do or die
Never one to switch

So I switch it up
Don't give a f*ck
Twist my blunt
F*ck y'all hoes
Around the fur
Above the clouds
Forgot the feel
So what I feel is not for sale
You can't compare when in distress
Wish you the best
You me wrote off
The story ends
You shut the book
Gave me the look
It was all it took
XO XO XO XO XO
Just numb me up
Babygirl cause your the drug
Why can I just get enough
Never can I get enough
Drugs got me going crazy
Purp in da blunt I'm lazy
Like I'm jay z
Got the blueprint
Y'all can't really faze me
Got the call but I missed it
Tables turn but I'm twisted
Satan said go get it
He in my soul I feel it

Does it hurt just to know that
You could never go back
Throw your hands up
Head down like you wear the crown
And now that's why I tend to frown
Chew me up and spit me out
And when I hit the the ground
I disappear without a sound
