Is this road with a lake of its own

The prettiest view
On the eastern end of 52
In the spring
When we live for the life that it brings
And I have never known
An earlier home
And in this soil I was grown
From a seed
Like the hills of broccoli trees
That roll all around
This reservoir town
That my great grandfather found
And it bustles by
And the clouds shuffle under a sky
Of sapphire blue while I'm driving through
Past the plaza where me and you
Met among
This place when our bodies were young
And all my memories
Of Carmel can be
Like their the eyes I've used to see
How it's changed
When the new construction is strange
Shrinking the woods
Where nature once stood
To grow another neighborhood
Taking you home
You and me in my car all alone
And when I look at you
It's the prettiest view
