Hi everybody, I go by the name of Travius Keandric, and I admit, I'm addicted to music
Now I know we all share our own addiction of choice
But I'm not here to make no excuses for my choice of addiction
I'm just here to simply share my thoughts

You know, growing up as a child, we always saw those signs that stated
Don't do drugs. Don't do drugs
But if I can recall correctly, as a kid, you know, coming up
We always wanted to indulge in everything that everyone told us not to indulge in

Drugs just so happened to be one of those things
Now there's different types of drugs
You got your Mollys, your Xans, Roxys
Dope
Even Keke Palmer, cause women are drugs

But me, you know, I just so happened to be addicted to music
Coming up, seeing the Tupacs, the Biggies, the M's, Dre's, the 50's
The Weezys, the Birdmans, the Hovs
The era where anything goes, you know

But don't be fooled, I mean, it's all by design
Just think about it, the school signs
Don't do drugs
You can see this with video games
The entire they were feeding us drugs
I mean they made us sit down in front of a TV screen for hours on the day
And addiction is a progressive narrowing of the things that bring you pleasure

It only has excitement and can achieve dopamine release to the same extent
Doing that behavior and not other behaviors
So they start losing interest in school, they start losing interest in relationships
They start losing interest in fitness and well-being and it depletes their life

So they give us our first drug, maybe our second
Cause don't forget about sugar, or additives
It's all drugs
What's your drug of choice

Is it money
Is it lust
The endorphins from social media
Is it this false ideology of success

Be careful with your choice of drugs
But please know we're all addicted
I just pray we all become addicted to God
Drugs

Drugs
From your favorite registered nurse, your legal drug dealer
Don't do drugs
And eventually what typically happens is they will stop getting dopamine release from that activity as well

And then they drop into a pretty serious depression
And this can get very severe and people commit suicide from these sorts of patterns of activity
