A yard of rocks, a motorboat, no shortage of any love
How is it that they come with personalities
Each a genius of eccentricity
The first can read Kant at two, the second's a video game
The third has the sweetest smile anyone has ever seen
Rugged little wills push the boundaries
But recognize that consequences come with villainy
Squabble in their room when the door shuts at night
Till dad promises sentences if they don't give up the fight
Then all is quiet, like a city after war
Bits of wreckage everywhere, but nothing like a scar
Our thoughts reassemble, we're ourselves, talk
Have a drink, catch our breath, recall worlds beyond these walls
