I went to the store to pick up a cake a lady struck conversation about her fine date By my look she could tell I was stressed or maybe it was the way that I was dressed Christmas Eve and she looked so great I told her I was going to dinner for eight The cake was a beauty of chocolate ganache I think she could tell I needed triage She asked how I was and I didn't hold back I said my husband is sick and I left it at that She showed concern as she drew near she could see in my eye I was shedding a tear ALS I said with relief at a perfect stranger who could see through my grief As I turned to go she asked me his name Emmett, Emmett I said but could barely exclaim She said she has lots of friends that would pray I barely said thank you as I whisked away I sat in my car and continued to cry I'm really not sure exactly why Maybe you'll hear this and think of that day I want to say thank you and let you know we passed away Ganache, triage The cake was a beauty of chocolate ganache I think she could tell I needed triage
