The Drive

The Drive was an offensive series in the fourth quarter of the 1986 AFC Championship Game played on January 11, 1987, at Cleveland Municipal Stadium between the Denver Broncos and Cleveland Browns. Broncos quarterback John Elway, in a span of 5 minutes and 2 seconds, led his team 98 yards in 15 plays to tie the game with 37 seconds left in regulation. Denver won the game in overtime by making a 33-yard field goal, pulling off a 23–20 win over the Cleveland Browns. The 98-yard drive ranks as pro football's prototypical clutch performance. Elway and his team spanned almost all of the 100-yard football field. Oh,
Can you feel it
Can you feel it
From where you are
From where you are
When time came
For us to go
I could feel it grow,
I could feel it in my bones
I had no chance to hold myself back
Guess I felt alive for a little bit, yeah
So I let myself go into my head
Maybe fell into the sky instead
And then you looked at me
And then you said
Oh, can you feel it?
Can you feel it?
From where you are,
From where you are
Oh, Can you believe it?
Can you believe it?
We've come this far
We've come this far
I don't wanna let this go now
I hear them calling my name,
They keep calling me out
Well, you're just my type,
You're just my kind
Call your boyfriend, say you're doing fine
Now it's getting late,
Talk is cheap
So you ask me
Oh, can you feel it?
Can you feel it?
From where you are,
From where you are
Oh, Can you believe it?
Can you believe it?
We've come this far
We've come this far
I don't wanna let this go now
I hear them calling my name,
They keep calling me out
Oh oh,
Oh oh
Don't let me go,
Don't let me go
Oh oh,
Oh oh
Don't let me go,
Don't let me go
What's the point of getting older
If you've got nothing to show?
For all the time that went by
All those years that you let go
Well, I don't wanna live my life
Hiding in my own shadow
No, I don't wanna be forgotten
There's something I need to know
Don't let me go
Don't let me go
Cause I don't wanna let this go now
I hear them calling my name,
They're calling me out
Oh oh,
Oh oh
Don't let me go,
Don't let me go
Oh oh,
Oh oh
Don't let me go,
Don't let me go
Hey you only wrote this for the money
Didn't you?
Didn't you?
Didn't you?
Didn't you?
Didn't you?
Didn't you?
