I've known a few Susans -

I've known a few Susans in my day.
I loved them each in their own special way
I've known few Susans in my life.
They gave mea lot more joy and a lot more laughter than they ever gave me strife.
They were there for me.
Exactly where I needed them to be.
I've known a few Susans along way.

Long tall Susan, lived up the street,
She drove a 77 metallic green beetle, god damn that thing was sweet.
She'd take us to the drive-in, her little brother David and me.
We'd hit Ording's on the way for Tab and Mountain Dew, popcorn and something sweet.
She was there for me.
Right where I needed her to be.
I've known a few Susans along the way.

Then came Sunshine round about fifteen,
That hippie had the prettiest blue eyes this boy had ever seen.
I Chased her around the Buckeye state then out here to Paradise.
Never really caught her, but never ever lost her. It's always been just right.
She was there for me.
Exactly where I needed her to be.
I've loved a few Susans along the way.

Little Ms. Kaiser - she was a year younger than me.
I never fell in love with her but, man, I sure could see.
Susan, she fed the poor, she brought the joy, and was loved by more.
She punched her ticket to Heaven too soon.
