I got some things to vent to you
Times getting harder since you left now I get shit confused
I miss you everyday and think about you smiling down

Remember when you used to take us to parades

And when my parents fussed and argued going through divorces, you were there to Make us forget

You used to work concessions at all of my ball games
Cooking dinner for us, and made sure that we had eaten, even if it left you starving till Your inside parts bleeding
We did not know that as time came, you were in a dying frame
When I found out at first I thought it was a mind game
Thinking back when I was younger maybe little, I was at my baby sitter, you were always There to get us
Took us back to nansemond parkway, time to take a bath
And you put bubbles in the tub and me and you would share a laugh
When I was staying in that shack, and our water was off, you would boil a pot everyday And make sure it was hot
And I can't tell you enough how much that shit mean to me now
I can't tell you how much that I want to scream at you now
At the funeral you were beautiful, to your cuticles, I almost shared a tear at the end when They were viewing you
Who had knew that time would take you fast as it did
I always thought you'd live forever never flash on the kid

Maybe I shoulda taught you all them dance moves you wanted to learn
Maybe I shoulda played bingo got the credits I earned
Maybe I shoulda got my eagle on in the van witchu
But now you got yo eagle on, you high as a bird
You up in paradise, and I can't meet you there yet
I still got stuff to accomplish and help my mom get a check
I gotta pay you back and give to you what you gave to me
