Monolith

A monolith is a geological feature consisting of a single massive stone or rock, such as some mountains. For instance, Savandurga mountain is a monolith mountain in India. Erosion usually exposes the geological formations, which are often made of very hard and solid igneous or metamorphic rock. Some monoliths are volcanic plugs, solidified lava filling the vent of an extinct volcano. Imminence, innocence, whatever best fits you

But why are you mad?

As I lay under the velvet sheets analyzing the veins behind my eyes & how I can swear I see them move, I think of how I left my heater on in my room. I open my eyes to the soft, pulsing, red glow encompassing my room from the pilot light and realize; comfort within.

Consumed by the heat and the glow of the pilot light through the lens of the velvet sheet, I feel my heart pumping louder, pumping the blood through the arteries, all around me, up and through me…
Up and to my nose
Where the breakage occurs
And it flows out of me
And back into me
