One morning up above the world, 30,00 feet high
I had me an aisle seat, by the window she did reside
I was still so very happy that the middle seat was free
That I proclaimed to this pretty girl, how lucky can we be

She looked a tad bit puzzled, as if I were a fool		
And when she uttered her first words she was aloof and 
  cool
But when she gazed upon my handsomeness, looked 
  into my eyes
She turned on her country charm, made me sweat and 
  sigh

She’s from Oklahoma, with those wild lands to roam

I said you must be from Texas, what a big mistake
Hell no Mr. East Coast Yankee boy, go jump into a lake
She said I am an Okie girl and I went to OU
Being that I’m a Texas grad I was deep into the doo
Somehow upon that fateful flight we both found 
  common ground
Way back in our old college days when we both got 
  around

I’m not so young as I used to be, but my heart is still as 
  frail
With her heart entwined in mine I know we will prevail
As I look back upon my life and then I look ahead
One thing that I know for sure, with her I’ll surely wed
Now she’s my beauty and my honey, my lover and my 
  friend
Hope we walk, down the line, until the bitter end
She’s sweet and she is sexy, spicy and full of sass
