Kincade

Kincade was an English band that was formed in 1972. In that year, they had their hit single, "Dreams are Ten a Penny", but the band itself did not exist at the time. The song was written by John Carter and his wife Gill. Carter also sang all the vocals and played the guitar on the record. The song was released by the British record producer on his Penny Farthing Records label. Although the record was unsuccessful in the UK, it reached the #2 in Germany, spent six months on the charts there, and sold a million copies. more »

I don't know, where to go
The darkness is all I know
Trapped inside, my own mind
The demon lives, I decline

The beast sinks claws right into my chest
He's pulling me under I can't resist
I'm scared where we'll go but I feel the heat
invaded my mind I cannot retreat

He speaks to me, invades my dreams
I feel tied up locked in by strings
The winds too strong so I can't sleep
I'm pushed around like I'm the swing

This doesn't make any sense
Locked in place but still thrown around somehow
These feelings are too intense
I feel the affects, don't know how I'll make it out

They want me to be the villain
Disregard all my feelings
I know that I'm human too

Stricken with grief
The dark thoughts won't cease
They're giving me the solutions too

Don't understand the hate
I cannot bear the weight
No one will help me I'm suffering

Thrift for revenge
My toes on ledge
I have no hope of recovering

I don't where to go
The darkness is my only home
Trapped inside, my own mind
I've seen too much, close my eyes

All paths lead to dark to waters
These docks don't extend any farther
No coming back once I'm trapped underneath
And the cold steals my body heat

As my feet dangle over the edge
I got to decide, do I go on ahead
Weaponize this isolation
My mind is not worth saving

They want me to be the villain
Wanna blame me for killings
I don't have a part in this

Stricken with grief
I need a release
It Stripped away all my innocence

I don't understand the hate
Feel like I'm just a waste
They can't think that I'm the enemy?

Thirst for revenge
Pushed to the edge
I don't care if it's the end of me

I don't know, where to go
The darkness is all I know
Trapped inside, my own mind
The demon lives, I decline

I don't where to go
The darkness is my only home
Trapped inside, my own mind
I've seen too much, close my eyes
