Poetry in my words
But poison up in my thoughts
With daily challenges
of balancing gains with my loss but
I put my best foot forward when
my walking crosses hardships
Annoyed when out of words or
when my mouth's a crowd of problems
I could recite a jaw full
Might say it's all phase
My state of mind was awful
Nowadays the fog is fading
I'm seeing clearer. These
Visions of what I held dear
And how my hell's there
So what's a window to a mirror
I look inward, and see
Such distaste in my heart
Got sick of life giving a dick to me
And getting so hard
I don't wanna slip back into misery
I've gotten too far
So I write these negative emotions down
And rip them apart
Then say
It's not right.
But it's okay
It be what it be, and
Be that as it may
What even was it? Well
Here's all we can say
"It is what it is
And ain't what it ain't"
Yeah, you've many a sin
But I'm far from a saint
And my thoughts of beginning again
Were drawing a blank
But I have to agree
It be what it be
