I walked my way down a Lonely Street

Like living statues with vacant stares
Nobody there asks why, or even cares
I took some time to rest my head beside a bench-bound old man
Who softly said
"Well hello, I see you're back again
What do you think you'll find, there is no peace of mind
Nothing to be had, so let me tell you son

You don't belong on lonely street"

Well his words were soft but they hit me hard
If this ain't the place do I belong anywhere
Do I take my place with these freaks and geeks
Who's only line is that "it just ain't fair"

The old man he looked up, he tried to smile
