DAN FROM DOWNINGTOWN
The easy, fast & fun way to learn how to sing: 30DaySinger.com
I want you all to know that I tried to believe in god As a matter of fact, I spent eighteen years of my life Heading the warnings of hell fearing adults Crossing myself before every meal And believing in a superstitious patter on existing All in the hope that there is some kind of purpose in the universe And then I experienced true misery First I lost my best friend, then a couple members of my family And more, and more the people in my life That I knew and loved All slowly faded from existence Poof, gone Well, actually it was more of a whimper And in a couple cases it was screaming They say when you learn of existentialism Your left with three options You can ignore it I.E. the god option You can chose to end your existence Which of course most people Including myself would not condone Or you can find something that makes you happy And devote your life to it in a feverish power struggle between the pain of existence And the things and people that you enjoy So I went for the third option But what happens when everything goes away Like literally over night Well, then you have nothing Nothing but your thoughts And then you spend day after day Looking up and down for some kind of answer And, well every day I look up and down The concrete looks softer then the clouds I suppose that I should end this note With some kind of thesis or resolution But considering everything that I've said Whats the point After all, some melodies simply sound best when they don't resolve themselves
