Solid

Solid is one of the four fundamental states of matter (the others being liquid, gas, and plasma). In solids molecules are closely packed. It is characterized by structural rigidity and resistance to changes of shape or volume. Unlike liquid, a solid object does not flow to take on the shape of its container, nor does it expand to fill the entire volume available to it like a gas does. The atoms in a solid are tightly bound to each other, either in a regular geometric lattice (crystalline solids, which include metals and ordinary ice) or irregularly (an amorphous solid such as common window glass). We're all seeing "2020" now, huh?
Crazy world, we all watch the signs
Twenty-twenty has been a trip, it is safe to say we're all surprised
Nations and organizations uniting their lofty minds
Drama's escalating while profits and markets dive
There's got to be an answer, how will we all survive?
First the Mamba then the Panther and so many lost their lives
I salute the workers on their grinds in these awful times
Or is it a hostile conspiracy that got disguised?
Politics cause sharp divides, pushing us all on a side
One offers lies while the other falsifies
An enemy is lurking and he's got a plot devised
He hates the Word of God, he wants you to compromise
It ain't the candidate that sits on the improper side
But y'all have a fit against whichever party y'all despise
I got a candle lit and my Hope will not subside
If we only see 2020 we ain't got proper eyes

It's been ugly, full of conflict and full of fear
What I love and what is dear to me now starts to appear

Twenty-twenty: lockdown causing trials
Taking plenty from me: mask on we don't see the smiles
Many lonely, lost, deprived, feeling ostracized
Our need is deep, and now I see how God is wise
He came isolated He was hated all despised
Separated from His home to make one for us to reside
He took a loss after law enforcement botched up His trial
Cross across His spine all alone He walked and climbed
Man He died, just like was prophesied
Only way for God and my sin to be harmonized
Passed a bill, paid the fine for our colossal crimes
Something you could not provide regardless of your pocket size
Who can it be, who's making the problems rise?
Man it's me, when I take my eyes up off the prize
We have to see, all our rotten pride has got to die
It often hides so we gotta decide to walk in light
I've been cocky, trying to impress I want some likes
I write sloppy even when I cross my t's and dot my i's
Before we criticize, realize the Gospel reminds
It's our sin making our communities fall and divide
No one can close the Church, it's a family all comprised
Of every race and size of people from all tongues and tribes
I lay coronas at His feet, no virus stops His designs
I'll let God draw the lines, I color them in by dropping rhymes

The electoral college does not determine my joy or peace
To those with me, I ask where are your loyalties?
America ain't got a king, so who's our royalty?

But I got married, we're expecting, and my joy is still intact
I've had other lords than Jesus, and I'm not going back
I pledge allegiance to the Gospel, nothing more than that
It's true, was sick of 2020 need a breather
