Parents in the parking lot
They don't have to work late
My dad has a good job

I get in the car
And they ask about my day

My parents love me
This is how life's supposed to be

I hear a lot of dears and honey's
But I never hear any arguing

They make it to all of my games

I don't get the blame

As a kid I was on my mothers side
But now I know it takes two to fight
Neither was right

My mother was trying to find love
And at times it lead her to bring around the wrong guy
And she didn't have her father neither so
How would she know that not having a consistent father would effect my growth
I got real close
To one guy she dated

He showed me how to play ball
And to not let girls give me hickeys
But when he was done playing daddy
He moved away to another city
