But not still
There must be something wrong with me

What is this madness I have become
Why do I rationalize this reasoning
Who would I become if not for myself
When will I end all of this

I do these things because I care
If I didn't, I'd just move on
There has to be good in what I'm doing
I can't imagine that I am wrong

Have I become taken over
It seems there are two parts of me
There is something inside that holds on
It can be easier than letting go

It is so easy to inflict pain on myself
It is comforting and better than being alone
Isn't that what I was afraid of all this time
It keeps me from complete emptiness

I am finding peace in this state
Time to create my own narrative
I will find closure in this
Or just a way to keep going

Sleepless nights
Racing thoughts
Anxious mind
Tired body

Unable to turn off these feelings
Not ready for them to go away
I know I'm hurting myself
But I can't stop
