I try to get you off my mind
We're crazy, you and I
Just one more touch, oh can I?
Will we burn this down and start again?
Until we can't be friends
But I knew
You and me, we're backwards
But we'll make it past the bad words
And I'll get you, after the fire
Oh yeah yeah
I bet you can do better
But, I'm stuck in your old red sweater
Come baby, let's make it right
And we'll take the night (we'll take the night)
Well the take the night (we'll take the night)
We'll be alright (we'll be alright)
Oh we'll be alright
Drove through the valley late that night
West coastin', gettin' high
Just one more hit, oh babe can I?
Will you break me down and try again?
Until it's all been said
But I knew
You and me, we're backwards
But we'll make it past the bad words
And I'll get you, after the fire
Oh yeah yeah
I bet you can do better
But, i'm stuck in your old red sweater
Come baby, let's make it right
And we'll take the night
(We'll take the night, oh)
You and me, we're backwards
But, will we make it past all these bad words?
I'll get you, after the fire
Yeah yeah
I bet you can do better than me
But i'm stuck your red sweater, baby
Come with me, and take me on a ride all night
Oh we'll take the night (we'll take the night)
Will we still be alright? (be alright)
Oh after the fire (be alright)
Can we make it alright?
