You ever felt like you were here for more
Yeah that nine to five lick pay the rent
But the stress that you get from the shit
Make you wonder what you do it for
Like what's the goal that you moving towards?
I wanna do it for the love like a troubadour
Pursuing more than dollars
Peace of mind, calm soul, staying true to form
Learn the game, now they wanna move the board
Chaos the newer Norm, like cheers homie, moving on
Clear what we do in song manifest soon
When you moving wrong
Doing good, probably won't be moving long
Praying for our pain, cash stay accruing
What they doing won't change, keep it true Joe for you and yours
I'm bout as cool as a humidor
Atypical, introduced my lyrical chops for what I do and more
A new movement, feet up on the desk in your room
So rude to your rules and the room decor

I'm doing me, never worry bout a critic
Writers block, no only writing what I'm living
Writing for a village, So I'm raising up the kids when
It's all said and done, you can say I really did it
Changed the cycle, seen an eyeful
Paid the price for, boss living, that some of y'all would die for
I thought, my cause of lifting up the hood was cool
Until they laughed at my thoughts, like why dog
I brought, fam out the trenches to live in conditions
That's better than anything that we were ever given
Calm in the storm, yeah we made it through the blizzard
And rain, with a little bit of faith and better vision
Cause dead or prison was the sentence they were giving
To kids trying to hustle to meet ends from living
In poverty, hate the feeling of hunger pangs the kitchen
Was empty, the fridge running up bills, it ain't chilling
So how you judging the rappers that really lived it
Really spit the facts about their early days getting it
Made it out the ditch, trying to give back with wisdom
But the shorties think it's cap so they ain't even listening
Dumb down the message, maybe don't even give it
Homie the minute that I made it to a million I was different
Reliving all the ill in these lyrics and still grind on
Hoping that this little light of mine can shine on
