Beat down, damaged and broken I take a seat now
Hope you don't mind I've come to preach
Take a couple seats now
Hear me out, I've got a story to tell
A brother suffered some hardship, a brother walked through hell
Imagine a tether, a lifeline I must protect
I came so close to breaking it, I must confess
But through no fault of my own, the world tried to test
And yeah I had to show them I'm the best, but that will never change
The painful road of healing I've been walking on
The friends that were not friends that had me moving on
The lies the people shouted, how I wasn't strong
And the heart that laid broken
I learnt hard lessons and now we keep it moving
I learnt had lessons and we keep cruising
But people this is not a sad story
Na, that would never ever be the end for me

When I take a look back at where I came from
Take a look ahead and know that I'm not done
Kind of overwhelming but it's worth it in the long run
It can be anything you're healing from
But the journey must done
Believe me, I'm looking forward to a better me

And anybody who was broken and now has started believing
Put your hands up now
And anybody who was looking for a blessing and you feel it
Put your hands up now
Because we're all on a journey of healing
And it gives this life some meaning
But you don't need a reason, to start reaching, reaching
And anybody who was looking for a way and you see it
Put your hands up now
And anybody who was fighting for a change and you feel it
Put your hands up now
Because we're all on a journey of healing
And it gives the life some meaning
But you'll never need a reason
Sing oh, oh, oh, yeah

Broke free but that was just the beginning
Because what came next was kind of menacing
The war became mental so I fought mentally
Battling memories, coming to unsettle me
I look to the stars to come and rescue me
Thinking at peace is something I'll never be
But best believe I
Carried on
Took time to forgive and time to move on
Praying all the time that I would be strong
Because I was at a low, I was at rock bottom
But I understand that had I not been scarred back then
No I would never learn to rule my heart and head
And people this is not a sad story
Because that would never ever be the end for me

When I take a look back at where I came from
Take a look ahead and know that I'm not done
Kind of overwhelming but it's worth it in the long run
It can be anything you're healing from
But the journey must done
Believe me, I'm looking forward to a better me

And anybody who was broken and now has started believing
Put your hands up now
And anybody who was looking for a blessing and you feel it
Put your hands up now
Because we're all on a journey of healing
And it gives this life some meaning
But you don't need a reason, to start reaching, reaching
And anybody who was looking for a way and you see it
Put your hands up now
And anybody who was fighting for a change and you feel it
Put your hands up now
Because we're all on a journey of healing
And it gives the life some meaning
But you'll never need a reason
Sing oh, oh, oh, yeah

You'll never need a reason
You'll never need a reason
This is what I sing, yeah
This is what I sing yeah, woah

No way, no way we're giving up
No way, no way we're going back
We've come too far to give this up
And I'll be alright and I know that
No way, no way we're stepping down
And for now we're singing
Woah, oh, oh, woah, oh, oh
We sing woah, oh, oh, woah, oh, come on
No way, no way we're giving up
(No way, no way)
No way, no way we're going back
(No way, no way)
We've come too far to give this up
(We've come too far)
And I'll be alright and I know that
(To give up now)
No way, no way we're stepping down
And for now we're singing
Woah, oh, oh, woah, oh, oh
We sing woah, oh, oh, woah, oh, and I'll be

I'll be alright
Yes I'll be just fine
