Flicky

Flicky is a platform game developed by Sega and released in arcades in May 1984. It was licensed to Bally Midway for distribution in the United States. In Flicky, the player controls the eponymous blue bird and must gather all the small birds called Chirps in each round and bring them safely to the exit. There are cat and lizard enemies which can disperse the Chirps and kill the player, but Flicky can use items on the playing field to protect herself and the Chirps from danger. The idea for Flicky came from Sega senior leadership, who wanted to exceed the success of Namco's Mappy (1983). Yoji Ishii and Yoshiki Kawasaki developed Flicky at Sega over one year. Originally, the game simply had the player catch ambiguous dots in a maze. Taking inspiration from a p… more »

It's the elusive but present as a matter of fact
Unscratchable itch
It's not peculiar to me or to you it seems
Ain't that a bitch

A woman - a teacher, the wife of a preacher
A human table for one
She met a fellow in a yellow foreign automobile
He coulda been her son
She was looking for a present something anti-depressant
He thought, "this could be fun"
They were lovers undercover until he found another
Now, she's back on the run

From the elusive but present as a matter of fact
Unscratchable itch
It's not peculiar to me or to you it seems
Ain't that a bitch

I had a buddy, used to study 'til his notebook would bleed
Hell bent to make it
Always tired, uninspired, when he finally got hired
That's when he realized he'd faked it
He went looking for a present something anti-depressant
He needed an out
He met a shady white lady friend she tickled his nose
And now he's dukin' it out

With the elusive but present as a matter of fact
Unscratchable itch
It's not peculiar to me or to you it seems
Ain't that a bitch

The more you scratch you know the worse that it itches
The more you scratch you know the worse that it itches
The more you scratch you know the worse that it itches
And nothin' - no nothin' - is for free

In the city it's a pity the itch is intense
In fact it's almost obscene
When the 9-to-5 feels like 20-to-life
I know you know what I mean
We're all looking for a present something anti-depressant
We're all looking for Love
But the more that you scratch you know the worse that it itches
And no one's above

The elusive but present as a matter of fact
Unscratchable itch
It's not peculiar to me or to you it seems
Ain't that a bitch

The more you scratch you know the worse that it itches
The more you scratch you know the worse that it itches
The more you scratch you know the worse that it itches
And nothin' - no nothin' - is for free

The more you scratch you know the worse that it itches
The more you scratch you know the worse that it itches
The more you scratch you know the worse that it itches
And nothin' - no nothin' - is for free

Well, ain't that a bitch
