Amy Speace is an American singer-songwriter from Baltimore, Maryland, who is a former Shakespearean actress notable for her critically acclaimed music.National Public Radio described her voice as "velvety and achy" and compared her to Lucinda Williams. The singer was based in Jersey City, N.J. but has moved to Nashville, Tennessee. Her music is receiving positive critical attention. Speace's song, "Weight Of The World", has been covered by singer Judy Collins on her 2010 album "Paradise". In 2012, she supported Alejandro Escovedo on his UK tour in June and July.
