About Velveteen

Velveteen is the second album by English rock group Transvision Vamp. Released in 1989, a year after their debut album Pop Art, the album provided such hits as "Baby I Don't Care" which reached number 3 in the UK and Australia. Velveteen went on to peak at number 1 on the UK Albums Chart in 1989 and number 2 in Australia where it became the 39th highest selling album of the year (Pop Art was number 25). A video was released to accompany the album. Entitled The Velveteen Singles, it featured the videos for all four singles released from the album, as well as "'behind the scenes' footage". more »
