Stunning song! A bit of it was crashing around in my head as I rode my Harley earlier. I purchased a Korean girl out of slavery in Seoul back in 1974. “Joey” was her nickname in the red light district. I paid $108 to purchase her “debt” and took her to my hooch in the vile. We lived there wound up in each other for 13 months. I played records for the troops during the “swing shift drive time“ till midnight on AFKN FM. She stayed at our place getting plastered. I was 17 and painfully in love. I was just a kid. I did not know what to do. The Army separated us and probably saved my life. I miss her to this day.
