Omar Oropesa

One of Latin Christian music's steadier and more seasoned artists, Omar Oropesa specializes primarily in Praise and Worship, though over the years he proved himself unafraid to pursue divergent styles of music and became pioneer of Spanish Rap and Hip Hop in Contemporary Christian Music. In 1991, Omar Oropesa took over the Praise and Worship team in Alpha and Omega Church of Pastor Alberto Delgado, Miami, Florida, USA. Omar produced and recorded two productions, ERES TU and DAME TU VIDA , which took him across the United States, the Caribbean and Latin America. With these two productions, all barriers were broken in the Latin Christian music genre with Freestyle, Rap and Techno Pop. Years after the great success of the two productions, Omar Oropesa released GRANDE Y FUERTE, recorded live in La Paz, Bolivia. Again, all formats and schemes were broken in Praise and Worship, implementing a very energetic rock style and became one of the best-selling productions in Latin America. In 2014, Omar teamed up with 3 time Grammy winner, producer Juan Salinas. A musical fusion was formed with different styles, genres and well crafted songs releasing productions like MAJESTUOSO REY, NECESITO DE TI, LA DEUDA, HAY PODER and ABRES CAMINO. Omar Oropesa has had the privilege of bringing the Word of God through music and preachings in many Youth Rallies and Praise and Worship concerts worldwide and is currently part of record label Backstage Music Group.
