8. Bad Feet. ----------------------- I go to work each and every morning on these bad feet. I stand up seven days a week on these bad feet. Now some people make their living sitting down and don't get out of breath If I had to make my living sitting down, people, I'd starve to death I got a corn on my left foot I got a callous on my right I can't wait to get off my job so I can soak my feet at night I'm talking bad feet speaking about bad feet don't mention them bad feet I gotta a pair of bad feet I have to walk to town to make groceries on these bad feet I done walked me a many a mile on these bad feet Now these old feet have stuck with me and they've never let me down They feel so good when I rise every morning, I hate to put them on the ground I got bruises on my heels I got blisters on my toes And every time the sky gets cloudy, my feet want to ache some more Talking about bad feet Talking about bad feet You ain't seen no bad feet, until you've seen my bad feet Baby you know I told you I'm going to take you that dance Saturday night but I don't believe I'm going to be able to go. My old feet are hurting me so bad. Why don't you just stay here and help me work on my feet so I'll be able to go to work Monday morning? I don't want to hear no work on nobody no bad feet, I want to go hear that band play. Now if you can't take me, you tell me, and I'll get somebody else. I guess I'll have to go dancing on these bad feet I don't know how long I can dance on these bad feet Now these old feet have been some mighty good feet, Lord I can't tell no lie. And I am going to buy them the best pair of shoes that anybody's money can buy. I got blisters on my heels I got blisters all under my feet. I have to love these boys or I don't get no sleep.
