It's so exciting, brilliant and talented people from all walks of life are entering the auditorium
Let's go to our room with reporter Wally Walter who is standing outside the doors
Thank you Angelica, it's fantastic to be part of such an evening
Wait, here comes a baby, I think yes
Excuse me ma'am
Yes, who are you
I'm Martha Graham
The Martha Graham? Fantastic
This is Martha Graham, ladies and gentlemen, the famous, er, in town, the Graham Cracker
I just love Graham Crackers
There's something more I'd like to know
Yes
How did you get all those little preparations in the crackers
Wally, you idiot
I mean, what a kidder
Everyone knows Martha Graham, the great dancing choreographer
Wait a minute, here come a couple guys that must be with others
Just look at them
I mean, you're the brothers of Ganondorf
No, those are fictional characters from a Russian novel
Wait, don't tell me, the Lunar Brothers
I knew it, ladies and gentlemen, these guys discover cough drops
No, you've got the wrong brothers
Okay, I give up, who are you
We're the Wright Brothers
Well, of course you're the Wright Brothers if you're not the wrong brothers, but really, what's your name
Really, we're the Wright Brothers
Don't play games with me, I've got infected hanging on my shoes cutting by this morning
I'm not feeling well
But it's true, we are the Wright Brothers
We are the Wright, Wright Brothers
We are the Wright, Wright Brothers
If you want to fly, get out and try
If you want to fly, we're the Wright Brothers
I remember when I danced
I was good at laughing out of sight
But this is all just a lie
What they were is that you saw below
You were mostly up to your feet or so
But that was the news in 1903
We are the Wright, Wright Brothers
We are the Wright, Wright Brothers
If you want to fly, get out and try
If you want to fly, we're the Wright Brothers
We are the Wright, Wright Brothers
We are the Wright, Wright Brothers
If you want to fly, get out and try
You can fly alone, you can fly in a plane
There's a whole world to come, there's time to be free
It started right back there in Kitty Hawk
We are the Wright, Wright Brothers
We are the Wright, Wright Brothers
If you want to fly, get out and try
If you want to fly, we're the Wright Brothers
If you want to fly, get out and try
If you want to fly, we're the Wright Brothers
Welcome on to Guest Nominees
Let's get straight to our first award
Thank you, thank you
Ernest Hemingway
I am, of course. Where's my award
Mr. Hemingway, I'm sorry, but this is not your category
It isn't? Are you sure
You're not supposed to be out here
Well, since I'm already here, you can talk about me for a few minutes
Not now
Why don't we just mention a few of my novels?
It won't take long
No, I'm sorry
Farewell, farewell to all
I'm sorry about that. Now back to the awards
To present our humanitarian award, I am proud to introduce
Two great Americans of their own right, Rachel Carson and Walt Disney
Rachel, it's an honor to be here with you
Your book, Silent Spring, about pesticide poisoning
pretty much started the whole environmental movement
Thank you, Walt
Who would have thought that at the same time I was writing
You'd come and come and try to keep the United States in a better place
You'd be changing the world with an enemy of the rodent
Life's a mystery, and Rachel, but enough about us
We got an important award right now
There are so many inspiring humanitarian leaders of 20th century America
Our panel of judges had a very difficult time selecting just one winner, but they did
Let's find out who it is
For his work and civil rights, for leading the nonviolence
To a great cause, and for Black Americans, the winner is Dr. Martin Luther King
Thank you
I am honored, but I cannot accept this award alone
I want to acknowledge the bravery of one woman
On December 5th, 1955, Rosa Parks was riding in a bus from Montgomery, Alabama
She was sitting in the pit row in what was called the colored section
Blacks are not allowed in front, and we will be quiet
but I want to give my seat to any white person who wanted it
But on that day, Rosa did not give up her seat
Rosa did not move to the back of the bus
Rosa did not accept second-class citizenship
And by that one simple and brave gesture, the civil rights movement was galvanized
Thank you, Rosa Parks
Rosa Parks, you may enter please
Rosa Parks, you're gonna inspire me
You know, you know, it's gonna be a fight
But you're not moving to the back of the bus
But you're not moving to the back of the bus
Rosa Parks, you're under arrest
Rosa Parks, now you've come to test
If it's evil or if it's good
To make you move on to the back of the bus
To make you move on to the back of the bus
We organized a mud pot event that lasted 382 days
Rosa refused to pay the fine, and her court case made it all the way to the Supreme Court
In December of 1950, the Supreme Court declared that the segregation of the South was unconstitutional
Good old Rosa never wavered
Rosa Parks, you've always solved
Rosa Parks, and you don't belong
You're miserable
You are
Why not move into the back of the bus
