out the dirt Re-fittin' that crown back around my head And gettin' back down to work Cause life went south in 2013 In disbelief over shit hittin' me From deals with frauds, job loss, and my homie dyin' in front of me Not to mention all the Benjamins that was robbed out of my checkings account An amount that nearly almost steered me back to stayin' at my parents' house Talk about stress, I never knew pain at that depth Felt as if I was less than an insect Gettin' swept and stepped on every step No wins, right or left, I took more L's than Cool J On a day-to-day, prayed and prayed, but nothing changed Afraid at ways life aimed to break me down and stomp me out Roadblocks on my route, had me on the ropes almost for the count Loss of hope, soul tossed and broke, which near provoked Me to walk down the wrong path Puttin' chalk around dreams I once had Givin' up like man, fuck that Til' I thought about my grandma and pa Then my mom and dad and all the crap they had to scrap Through and took a look in the mirror Then it all got a little clearer None of them had it cool, they all had to fight Even solo at times, with no hope in sight Just the fighter inside, no quit, and the Will
