Rising Tide/ Tiring Side

I never had to hide it from myself A remark a drifter made along the way Strange and unrequested Yet it stuck like a deadweight Don't even want to admit he had a point There is not a reason why I should stop before I try For every day that I survive Striving in the cold outside It's not the passing of the time Or the rising of the tide That'll make me wait another night That won't make me say goodbye I never tried to question my beliefs Never a slur, a slight's something I don't need Yet you are sharing lessons I find it all depressive You better find someone who truly cares Never I had to enjoy my hollowness Never I had to shelve it nonetheless Never a goal accomplished Never feeling complete Don't ever want to find another way There is not a reason why I should stop before I try For every day that I survive Striving in the cold outside It's not the passing of the time Or the rising of the tide That'll make me wait another night That won't make me say goodbye So I'm waving at your side Striving for a decent life Trading all I gathered Hoping for the better Did I say that it was right?
