I Wish

I wish I could be free in a wide open space And ride across the Plains with the wind on my face I wish I had a log cabin way out west And went out with Crazy Horse on a Vision Quest They say anything is possible it's up to you But what's the point of dreams if they don't come true? I wish I had the money to give up my job And live on a farm growing corn-on-the-cob My kids could drive a tractor or play in the shade And we'd all sit on the porch drinking lemonade I wish I had a farm we could have a good time I wish that Michael Palin was a good friend of mine! Rain on my window I can't get nothing done I wanna head for the Big Sky But I'm too busy wishing For the sun I wish we wouldn't argue 'bout stupid little things And I wish you'd change your taste in indoor furnishings I wish you wouldn't put things where they don't belong And sit and watch TV when there's bugger-all on I wish you wouldn't sulk and walk off in a huff I wish I could be happy with the woman I love Rain on the horizon It gets so hard to find a friend Think I'll move to the Big Sky Make the same mistakes All over again.
