And It was there
While I was struggling for an answer.
I remember I was sitting,
And the voices came from the guys
Talking right next to me
At the rehearsal room.
I didn't even have to ask any question,
The situation was perfectly described
From that old boy
Growling between the sips of his beer.
Why do we act like we care
When we know we do not care?
(don't fear the edges)
Why do we want to sleep
When there is struggle to bear?
(don't fear the edges)
Why do we sit at corners
When all we want is to be free actually?
(don't fear the edges)
And why do we avoid to try ourselves
If there is nothing to loose but our dream itself?
(don't fear the edges)
Words would come out through that spiky beard, it felt like a bard worshipping a ghost.
So I went out,
Lit my cigarette
And as I was thinking I finally got a point,
I realised that wasn't enough and that I needed evidence.
Facts.
Proofs.
Something more, which words could not give me.
So I decided to quit.
Just for a couple of days, you know.
Just to be right on time with the rest of my life, doing stuff like everyday shit.
Maybe something would have dipped out on surface straight from the deep of my mind, like
Out of the blue.
Why do we act like we care
When we know we do not care?
(don't fear the edges)
Why do we want to sleep
When there is struggle to bear?
(don't fear the edges)
