Can I talk to ya'll for a minute Family? I want to read a an Obituary for The Black man. We come a long way, but we still got a long way to Go. I think about my mother and my father dead, They did everything for me use to make my bed. Told me bed time stories how we hung from trees, Injected us with syphilis they gave us disease. They took us from the motherland with plenty of Gold, They made us into property a slave and sold. They beat you with a whip and made you enter the ship, The journey was long and many died on the trip. Children were lost and the women were raped, Even men were violated as they met there fate. Fear was the number one rule an example, It was done in front of everyone a human sample. A slave law passed in Virginia a con, Every Black child born from a women in Bond, Voted and promoted in 1662, Every State after that piggy back and grew. Laws secured for the wealth for whites, While they left us in the bucket like some crabs to fight. They beat us and shot us and hit us with clubs, They cut off our hands and feat and left us with nubs. Black Lives Matters, The Black Man Matters. Black Lives Matter, The Black Man Matters. Black Lives Matter, The Black Man Matters. Yea Ya'll Got It Twisted Motivated by Greed they didn't want us to read, They cut our bodies in half and spit on our seed. In the 1640's John Punch Got Life, He couldn't never own property or marry a wife. Let alone purchase a knife or own a gun, Read the Black Codes today it's under the sun. Your man Jim Crowe he hated a Afro, If you disobeyed the master you had to Go. You couldn't say no yes sir boss please, You down on your luck like your down on your knees. They put us in the shack we were barely alive, Your work picking cotton was your nine to five. They fead us with the pig better known as swine, Infected with the swine flu ate up our mind. Gave us high blood pressure heart attack with depression, Psychologically speaking today that's oppression. No medical attention without intervention, If you died in the field's you were barely mentioned. They beat you back to work and molested your mother, And dare you to say something and burned your brother. He had no face it was a criminal case ,He was set a fire cause he was Black and his race. Black Lives Matter, The Black Man. Black Lives Matter, The Black Man Matters. Black Lives Matters, The Black Man Matters. Black Lives Matter, Yea Ya'll Got it Twisted. We came a long way like we did before, And suicide was regular our backs were sore We hd Barack Obama for eight years and it dried our tires, He threw a White House party to a crowd and cheers, A moment never forgot a we always forgave, For the record the White House was built by the slave. MJ with J's who I wanted to copy, I was trouble on the ball court I shook you sloppy, Malcom and King fought hard for our rights, Yet the army intelligence had them in there sight's. They both were killed and there blood was spilled, The city's burned and riot's gave you a chill. A Nation incited Black and White is divided, The police murdered George Floyd we still undecided. Brother Eric Garner and Brianna Taylor, Dominique White, And they Still don't treat us right. Phillando Castille was shot behind the wheel, The Charges were dropped on the cop he was fired and peeled. Shots fired ventilated to bleed, Over twenty shots fired he was twenty one Sean Reed. Horrible Sean Bell was another one fell, While they locking us put the police in a cell. Black Lives Matter, The Black Man Matters. Black Lives Matters, The Black Man Matters. Black Lives Matter, The Black Matters. Black Lives Matters, Yea Ya'll Got it Twisted And to our Ancestors who died and suffered, For us to be here today. Live on Brothers and Sisters, And For the Fallen, At the hands of Law enforcement. You still with us in the Spirit, You to live on Brothers and Sisters. Michael Brown, Yaseen Muhammad, Tamir Rice, Terrence Crutcher, Dijon Kizzee, Freddie Gray.
