Puffing and painting to the top of the mountain
Another challenge that I needed counting
I wanted to see if I had 31 hats
So i'd climb to the top every day
And i'd take a snap
Of my hat
It's March the 1st and St Davids day
Ate my Welshcake, was on my way
Put my number 1 hat upon my head
This is more fun than staying in bed
It's what I said
That was a good day, no rain in sight
And I went before teatime, it was nice and bright
But it wasn't the same as all the other days
When i'd see more greys than the sunshine rays
And water sprays
As the days went by I got more positive
There's such a lot that these hills can give
But at the end of the 3rd week I began to fret
That i'd run out of hats, get upset and i'd lose my bet
Oh the regret
There's 31 days in March
Have I got enough hats to last?
So the 31st was finally here
And I searched in the hat drawer for something to wear
But to my dismay I began to cry
Because my ample collection of hats they'd all run dry
Here comes a sigh
What should I do, should I still go up?
Well my answer to that is a resounding Yup
I could still take a snap of my shiny bald head
At least it's better than staying in bed
That's what I said
There's 31 days in March
But I ended up only having 30 hats
31 Days in March
But I ended up only having 30 hats
It's a tragedy, it's a tragedy, it's a tragedy
Only having 30 hats
3-0 That's a tragic number
3-0 That's a tragic number
3-0 That's a tragic number
That's a tragic number
That's a tragic number
That's a tragic number
Tragic number
