We were two no-luck kids on the boardwalk Just watching the crowds by us No where to go, we'd just sit there and talk For miles and miles and miles Then you said to me "If I jumped would you jump Into those crashing waves?" I paused and I thought, coulda sworn I was stumped But from my mouth leapt a simple "Okay" Okay We were never the ones to be a part of the crowd I liked to stay up all night You liked the TV turned up way too loud Or to listen to the neighbors fight Then you said to me "If I ran would you run With me far, far away?" I struggled to find where the question came from But from my mouth shot a simple "Okay" Okay We were two no luck kids on the boardwalk With nothing better to do Than to sit and to stare and to aimlessly talk Til we catch that rising moon Then you said to me "We can make the break now And forever be gone from this day-on" I paused in reply as I wasn't sure how But from my mouth slipped a simple "Okay"
