Open my eyes look over like 9 in the morning Stress on my eyes sleepy eyes yes still yawning Turn on the tv to see what's in then I see a story about children killing children Talk to somebody they tell me it's just life I look back and think does that make it right I write music but I wounded can it save a life And if not now but I know it can change tonight See I remember this one girl when I was growing up She hated herself so much she stayed cut up And I would try to save her but it didn't matter When her fam makes up stories bout her And you can see in her eyes she don't want to believe That could ever be someone that's kind as me I show her away out but she never fallwos the crumbs The exit is closing now I tell her to just run Woundering where I am Tryin to think of the plan I gotta be more then a man Bet you ain't ready to woke like I am See the people around me they fallow the motions Even when they moving around to me they still frozen Can't you see what's happening to my human race And all the obstacles that we still face It's time to say woke cuz fools be creaping Keep watch on ya soul and the posin its eatin Stay lifted in the time you need And don't forget to teach yo seed Remove the scales so yo eyes can see Open your lungs so you can breathe Fight the snakes all around you see The ones with the gold chains so that you can be free From the greed that changes every human being And makes every good man into a monster g And not the ones that you like b The ones that fly aroud or can fire breathe
