When the Summer comes Summer is dead I try to reconcile the voice in my head Heaven take me How long have I slept? At this point I'm just everyone that I've met I've been training to get wet from the rain Who makes the rules for the rulemaker's game Wearing camouflage to disguise my smell I might have loved you but I couldn't tell I've got a growing impression That you're made of timely perceptions Wandering around wishing memories had timestamps Sometimes they creep into my mind and they set up camp Found them wedged in between my past and myself Tried to read them til I realized that I couldn't be helped Thinking lately that I've never really known what to think I'm feeling lucky to perpetually work out the kinks Climbed a ladder to the devil until I fell I might have loved you but that didn't sell I've got a growing impression We're both results of pure misconceptions I swim in a pool of misdirection But we're made of timely perceptions I don't know what I am, but I'm not what I was I feel that nostalgic buzz I guess I'll run if I can, but I'm just looking for love I feel that nostalgic buzz
