Henry Townsend was an American blues musician and guitarist. He was born on October 27, 1909, in Shelby, Mississippi, and he passed away on September 24, 2006. Known for his distinctive style, Townsend was a talented singer and songwriter who contributed to the development of the St. Louis blues scene.
