I hopped a train, umm, I met a real dame
She was a hipster, huh-huh, a gone dame
She was a-pretty, New York City
Then she trucked on down the old Fairlane
With a heave and a ho
And I just couldn't let her go, oh no

She came along, ooh, sweet little woman
Get along, you better be on your way
Get along, sweet little woman
Get along, you better be on your way
With a heave and a ho
And I just couldn't let her go, oh no

Well, the train it kept a-rollin' (All night long)
Well, yes, The train it kept a-rollin' (All night long)
Yes, the train it kept a-rollin' (All night long), ooh man
I said the train it kept a-rollin' (All night long)
Well, the train it kept a-rollin' (All night long)
But I still couldn't let her go, oh no

(Instrumental Break)

We made a stop at Albuquerque
She must have thought I was a real gone jerk
We got off the train at El Paso
Her lovin' was so fine, man, I couldn't let her go

So, get along, my sweet little woman
Get along, you better be on your way
Get along, sweet little woman
Get along, you better be on your way
With a heave and a ho
Well, I just couldn't let her go, oh no, no

Well, the train it kept a-rollin' (All night long)
Well, yes, I said the train it kept a-rollin' (All night long)
Well, now, the train it kept a-rollin' (All night long), ooh yes
I said the train it kept a-rollin' (All night long)
Well, now, the train it kept a-rollin' (All night long)
Well, I still wouldn't let her go, oh no, no

Well, the train it kept a-rollin' (All night long)
Yes, yes, the train it kept a-rollin' (All night long)
Well, now, the train it kept a-rollin' (All night long)
I said the train it kept a-rollin' (All night long)
Well, now, the train it kept a-rollin' (All night long)
And I still wouldn't let her go, oh no
I said the train kept a-rollin' all night long!
