Ah, You know
It's in the air
I love this time of year
hahaha
But you know what it's not just about one day
Its about everyday all day everyday
Yeah let's go

It was the night before Christmas when everybody was murmuring about who had the biggest gifts wrapped beneath the Christmas tree
We never stopped to think about us living in the projects
If you don't have a fireplace then how those presents getting in
Tried to stay up, so that we could talk to Santa
Put the cookies by the milk, posted up in my pajamas
Gotta give it up to pops in 0 degrees weather, putting tracks out in the snow, like reindeer was there to greet us
And when we woke up there were presents everywhere but the nativity always seemed to draw me close and near
Then my parents moved the presents out the way told me all about the reason that we celebrate today
It started with a start and it ended in a manger
Father gave his son just to keep us all from danger
And though it's not a precise time he came into this earth, it's the time we come together to tell of our saviors birth

The Greatest gift to share is when friends and family are near and its Christmas in the air, it's Christmas in the air
It ain't about that tree but it's Jesus Jesus can't you see that it's Christmas in the air, Christmas in the air


Lights are bright and times are festive
Hark the angels sing bring the message
Not the warm fireplace with the chestnuts but weather bout the son who was born just to bless us
Yeah
A manger was his birth place
But he came here to save us in the first place
Who suffered for us in the worse way and now we celebrate all that he did on his birthday
Relatives drivin in from out of town bringing cakes chocolate, red velvet and pound
Reminisce about traditions and stories untold
And momma cookin a pot of chitterlings on the stove oh no
In our house here you can't get no lime light Christmas all bout Christ man so get your mind right
So if you really want to celebrate with'em on his birthday your life is the best present you can give'm  come on
