Hook
The hood ain't the same no more
Me my homies ain't the same no more
Summer was the time of our lives
Now we feel so deprived
Everything ain't the same no more

No more
No more
No more
No more
Summer was the time of our lives
Now we feel so deprived
Everything ain't the same no more

V1
It was 1998 to be exact
Moved from the hood to the burbs.
That's a facts
Met my cousin
We really started bussing
Started bussing
Yeah
No discussion
That's facts
Started playing ball in the summer time
Going to pool parties
Skipping the lunch line
Man yeah We was on the grind
We wanted to be great at the game
Have the city saying our name
cnd maybe maybe pull a dame
That's facts
But

Hook
The hood ain't the same no more
Me my homies ain't the same no more
Summer was the time of our lives
Now we feel so deprived
Everything ain't the same no more

No more
No more
No more
No more
Summer was the time of our lives
Now we feel so deprived
Everything ain't the same no more

V2
There was one day
In the summer
I walked to my cousin crib
To see what's up poppin
It was so hot
Such a long walk
Man real talk
I was going
I was going insane
Then we went up to rec
To win some respect
By playing ball
That's game
So many
OGs
Old homies
Talking bunch a smack
cnd calling me lame
But that's a shame
But

Hook
The hood ain't the same no more
Me my homies ain't the same no more
Summer was the time of our lives
Now we feel so deprived
Everything ain't the same no more

No more
No more
No more
No more
Summer was the time of our lives
Now we feel so deprived
Everything ain't the same no more

V3
Invitation sent
Summer came and went
Cousin had a son
c king without a lent
We were young boys
Chasing hood dreams
Now we're grown men
Doing thing grown things
Pause
Built a throne
Outta sticks cnd stones
Pause
Broken bones
Man those words
Made kings
Say it one more time
So they can hear you in the back
God so good and yes black don't crack
But

Hook
The hood ain't the same no more
Me my homies ain't the same no more
Summer was the time of our lives
Now we feel so deprived
Everything ain't the same no more

No more
No more
No more
No more
Summer was the time of our lives
Now we feel so deprived
Everything ain't the same no more
