Johanne Morissette Daug Amon (born June 2, 1996), better known by her stage name, Morissette, is a Filipino singer, actress and television personality. She first rose to prominence when she finished runner-up on TV5's Star Factor at the age of 14. In 2012, Amon made her professional stage debut in the Repertory Philippines production of Disney's Camp Rock in the role of Mitchie Torres. She competed in the first season of ABS-CBN's The Voice of the Philippines in 2013, where she became part of Sarah Geronimo's team. Born and raised in Cebu City, Amon became a recording artist of Star Music in early 2014 and released her first album, titled Morissette, in March 2015. She was tagged as "The Next Big Diva". She officially became part of ABS-CBN' s Sunday afternoon show, ASAP, in January 2014, and was introduced as one of the "Homegrown Divas", which ultimately became ASAP's "Birit Queens". She is the first Filipino artist to have her own V-Live Channel, a popular South Korean live video streaming service for celebrities.Morissette was awarded as the New Female Recording Artist of the Year by the 7th PMPC Star Awards for Music in November 2015 for her album, Morissette. She bagged the Female Artist of the Year on M.O.R. Pinoy Music Awards in August 2016. She had her first major solo concert, which sold out, at the Music Museum on August 13, 2016. In late November 2020, Morissette released her first co-written and co-produced single “Love You Still” through Underdog Music PH. Co-written with her fiancé Dave Lamar and co-produced with Dave Lamar and Xergio Ramos, the song is in English in recognition of Morissette's growing international fan base and to help promote OPM (Original Pilipino Music) around the world. In early December 2020, a music video of Love You Still was released. And just four weeks shy of its release, "Love You Still" has charted in 12 countries including the U.S. and U.K. via iTunes, and has debuted at #16 and #7 on Pandora Predictions Chart Playlist and on Billboard Next Big Sound, respectively.
