UT is an underground avant-garde musical group that formed in New York City in 1978. The band originally consisted of three members: Nina Canal, Jacqui Ham, and Sally Young. UT is known for their experimental sound, combining elements of punk rock, no wave, and post-punk. They released a series of albums and EPs throughout the 1980s, gaining a dedicated cult following. UT's music is characterized by dissonant guitars, energetic rhythms, and haunting vocals. They disbanded in the early 1990s but reunited in 2010 to continue their musical journey.
