The Dunces are an alternative rock band formed in 2017 in Tromsø, Norway. The band consists of Ole-G. Solheim (drums and percussion), Jens K. Styve (guitar), Morten Wintervold (vocals), Øystein O. Miland (bass) and Johannes Utstøl Johannessen (guitar). The quintets relentless sound is influenced by The Ministry of Local Government and Modernisation, avant-garde poetics´, and post-punk acts such as Joy Division and Pixies. Their five track debut EP Veke 5 was released in April 2021.
