Planet VI (formerly known as Rock City) is a US Virgin Islands-born American R&B duo, composed of brothers Timothy (b. 1984) and Theron Thomas (b. 1982), who go by the stage names of A.I (formerly Don't Talk) and Uptown A.P (formerly Da Spokesman). They were formerly signed to Akon's Kon Live Distribution and Geffen Records. They got signed to Kon Live and Geffen Records In 2006 and released a single entitled "Losing It" following this the official music video for "Losing It" was shot and posted on Youtube. When the song failed to match the predicted success the labels predicted like many other artists Rock City were caught in a slew of label politics. In 2011 after releasing eight mixtapes, as well as writing hits for other artists, they decided to jump ship and leave Geffen/Kon Live, then took their chances as being independent artists. In 2012, Planet VI released their independent debut mixtape entitled "The American Dream"
