PRODUCE 48
PRODUCE 48 was a popular South Korean reality survival show that aired in 2018. It brought together trainees from different South Korean entertainment companies and Japanese idol groups. The goal of the show was to form a temporary project group with the chosen trainees, who would release music and perform together. It was a collaboration between the Mnet show "Produce 101" and the Japanese idol group AKB48. The show gained significant attention and produced the girl group IZ*ONE, which promoted for two and a half years before disbanding in April 2021.
